A Family Joint Made Special
Ingredients
- A piece of ham for your family
- English mustard
- 2 cups of water
- 200ml honey
- World of Spice Meat rub
Method
- Remove the rind of the joint being used
- Score the flesh on the ham with a sharp knife, cross the marking if you can to a 1 cm depth
- Rub English mustard generously onto ham, this acts like a sticky outer as well as super seasoning
- Rub World of Spice Meat rub into scars of grooves on ham, let the seasoning remain on the meat all over the joint
- Place meat in an oven dish
- Add water to oven tray then cover (tin foil) and oven bake
- When cooked, (prick meat and juices that flow are clear) rmeove foil
- Pour honey all over the meat and bake for a further 20 mins or until golden brown and glistening
- Leave to cool for 20-30 mins before attempting to carve and enjoy your lovely honey baked ham served with baked potatoes and sweet beetroot salads
